A weekend away with your little family can be equally as expensive as it is overwhelming. A lot of preparation is needed for two nights away with a little one! None the less, I think it should be done!
Changing your routine is as good for you as it is for kids!
We chose to a getaway for our friends 30th birthday staying at Discovery Park Byron Bay. Where is Byron Bay? It is in NSW just over the border from Queensland. A smooth two hour drive from our home in Brisbane which makes it an easy escape!
I am all about cheap accomodation byron bay has to offer! Discovery Parks fits not only the budget but the requirements of a fully self contained holiday rental with a large pool, waterpark, tennis, basketball, bbqs and heaps of other facilities great for older kids or like us a short holiday with friends with kids!
When you first look at holidays there I notice that you often don’t get quality for price when you stay right in town your paying for the location. Discovery Park Byron Bay is a short 5 minute drive out of town. On a map to a person who hasn’t stayed in Byron before it might deter you a little and the old me would never stay anywhere further than walking distance but we didn’t have any issues!
Don’t be afraid to choose Byron Bay Family Accommodation a little out of town.
It was easy enough to get in the car to go into town which we did twice. Once for dinner and another time for coffee and a little shop! (It was rainy weather!)
We stayed in a Deluxe Studio Cabin which was perfect for us as a family of three. It had a full kitchen, dining, tv and a great outdoor balcony on the lake which entertained Elle heaps on our rainy stay. We also brought our own travel cot just as I am trying to get Elle used to the specific cot for all our upcoming getaways you can read more about it out here. The deluxe rooms were really cute and must be a newly built edition to the Byron Bay resort in the last few years. There are older options but from viewing them all if you can afford to choose the deluxe I do assure you that you will be pleased with your decision!
If staying with friends, call ahead and ask them to put your rooms next to each other as some cabins are interlinking so if you are staying in a studio deluxe and your friends are in a two bedroom deluxe they can interlink them so once the kids are asleep you can relax on the balcony together without leaving your accommodation!
It is perfect Byron Bay Family Accommodation and I think I would go back with my little fam bam and friends again! Cheers for the good times!
