This is just another simple, quick and delicious meal that you can make using ingredients you have stocked at home (eg, frozen veggies and quick heat rice packets) for those last minute – need a quick but different dinner option!
Ingredients:
- 3 x steaks (I used porterhouse for this particular one, but sirloin or whatever is on sale is fine)
- Brown rice – quick heat family pack
- Carrot, brocolli & cauliflower frozen pack
- Beans, peas & corn frozen pack
- Fish sauce
- GF soy sauce
- GF Worcester sauce
- GF teriyaki sauce
There is real no specific flavour process when I make this meal, so it would taste just as good with your GF soy sauce and fish sauce. I just add a little bit of the other sauces if I have them on hand.
Cut your steak into beef strips, frying each side on the pan with coconut oil until cooked through.
Place your frozen veggies in a separate pan cooking until heated through, then adding your “quick heat” pre-cooked brown rice. Add your desired sauces from above. I purposely don’t add my steak strips in with the stir-fry because I find the beef produces enough flavour on it’s own without compromising the taste of the fried rice. Serve your rice, adding your beef strips on top and enjoy!
